Starts with a call or email to discuss your goals, audience, and the purpose of your website. This is where I learn what sets your business apart and what success looks like for you. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of the plan, and I'll have everything needed to put together a detailed proposal.

Once the proposal is approved, planning begins. I outline your site structure, content needs, project timeline, and relevant competitor insights. Before design begins, you'll know exactly which pages are being built, what content is required, and when each milestone will be delivered.

Priorities shift, and adjustments to the plan are easy to make before design work starts.
With the plan approved, I design by building. Each direction goes straight onto a private staging site instead of a static mockup, so you're clicking through the real thing, not a picture of it. We refine it together until you're happy with the direction.

No revision caps within reason. Refinements continue until you're completely happy with the look and feel.
Once you're happy with the design, I move forward with it and build out the rest of the site on the same staging site, connect the tools you need, and keep tweaking until you're happy with the result.

Which one fits depends on how much research and tracking your project needs, since every business has different goals, competitors, and technical requirements. After a short discovery call, you'll receive a proposal outlining scope, timeline, deliverables, recommendations, and investment, so you'll know exactly what's involved before making a decision.
How is working with you different from hiring an agency?
With an agency, you're often paying for overhead: account managers, project coordinators, and developers you never speak to. As a small business yourself, that's the last thing you need. I work with a small number of clients at a time and handle everything myself. You get direct access to the person doing the work, faster communication, and a site that's been thought through carefully rather than handed off down a chain.
Why not just use Squarespace or Wix for my small business?
Those tools are built for ease of use, not performance or differentiation. You're working within their templates, their hosting, and their limitations, and so is every other small business using the same builder. A custom site can be designed around how your specific customers think and what they need to see before they call, book, or buy. That's difficult to accomplish with a drag-and-drop builder.
